Passion: Do What You Love; Love What You Do

How to Keep the Promises You Make to Yourself
All of us make promises to ourselves. "I'm going to increase my sales," "I'm going to manage my people better," "I'm going to spend more time with my family." But how often do we keep them? According to an executive of a major health club chain, only one out of every hundred people who join actually becomes a regular user. This program, in a step-by-step process, enables you to achieve far more than you ever have before. "Promises" also teaches you "Power Features" such as Time Travel, discovering the real audience for whom you are performing, producing at crunch time, learning to pull the trigger of success, effectively using your imaginary friends and creating Sacred Time in your life.

ABOUT John Powers

Great speakers are highly entertaining, informational, inspirational, and most importantly - unforgettable. John Powers stands out as one of the best in the business.

Powers' entire career has been one of effectively communicating with audiences. He earned a PhD in Communications from Northwestern University and was a professor of Speech & Performing Arts at Northeastern Illinois University. He has created and hosted a PBS series on how to be an effective public speaker and has hosted several interview specials for PBS. A guest on hundreds of radio and television shows, including "Oprah" and "Today," Powers has received two Emmy awards for his work in television.

Powers' business background includes producing his own musical for four years, raising capital of over a million dollars, and coordinating the daily efforts of over two hundred artistic, financial, sales and marketing people. The musical, "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?," ran on Broadway and is presently playing in over a dozen cities. In 1988, he founded the Powers of Motivation Institute and since then has worked with over a thousand major corporations and national associations to provide programs on how to succeed in a changing world.

The author of four bestselling books, including the most recent, The Junk Drawer, Corner Store, Front Porch Blues, Powers is a triple threat: He's as funny as the best stand-up comedians (in fact, he has often acted as a master-of-ceremonies for major corporate events); his inspirational messages will enrich your personal life; and his information will enrich your professional life.

How long do you want your speaker's message to be remembered? A few moments? Weeks? Perhaps even months? Your audience will never forget John Powers.

TESTIMONIALS

"Your presentation to our U.S. Steel key management group was simply outstanding; dynamic humor at its best to deliver the message." — US Steel Group

"You certainly lived up to your reputation for being a superb motivational speaker. Our guests found your speech to be both moving and inspirational. You truly were a hit!" — Business Week

"It's funny, when you plan a national meeting, and your keynote speaker is former President Bush, you would think that the other speakers would simply be overshadowed. Not so with John Powers. This man is wonderfully entertaining, exhilarating, warm and touching." — MedEcon Services
