ABOUT Eileen McDargh

With over 25 years of experience as a professional speaker, author, and management consultant, Eileen McDargh has worked with organizations and associations throughout the United States, Canada and the Pacific Rim, helping executives, work teams, and individuals develop behaviors and practices that grow human spirit and potential.

President of her own company since 1980, McDargh has been speaking publicly since high school, when she ranked among the nation's top ten extemporaneous speakers in the National Catholic Forensics League. She closed out her college years at the University of Florida with a degree in Speech Communication and an award as the Outstanding Woman Graduate in Leadership. Circumstance found her teaching school in a rural community on the Florida/Georgia border. After four years of teaching everyone from pre-school to adults, and being selected as the Outstanding Teacher for Nassau County in 1971, McDargh left education to spend the next five years in marketing and communications for Amelia Island Plantation, a major resort/real estate development company off the coast of Florida. McDargh also served as director of communication for a national healthcare management company.

The author of Work for a Living and Still Be Free to Live, the first book ever written on the integration of authentic work with life balance, McDargh is a frequent contributor to numerous business journals and news magazines, and has appeared several times on "CNN Headline News." She's a featured expert in A Woman's Way to Incredible Success and a contributing author of Meditations for the Road Warrior. Her most recent book, The Resilient Spirit, gleans wisdom from the ordinary and extraordinary, offering simple reminders of powerful actions that produce resilient results. She holds her Certified Speaking Professional designation, as well as her CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame designation from the National Speakers Association.

Whether in a one-to-one coaching session or addressing thousands, McDargh has an ability to connect in a delightful and practical way. She entertains and educates about the issues of work and life integration, self-leadership, change and effective management. With an engaging and skilled manner, she remains one of the most requested women speakers in the country, helping organizations and individuals create work life by design, and not by default.
